Siye Abraha's Groundbreaking Tour of the United States (By Laeke Gebresadik January 25, 2008)
Siye's mission was a resounding success. It is doubtful, however, if such meetings could be replicated to make the groundbreaking association of all Ethiopians a sustainable political culture abroad and at home. It is to be seen if Siye will have freedom of movement with the country and abroad to continue with the mission of ethnic understanding and reconciliation. Will his political enemies leave him alone to fulfill his duty to his nation?
Seeye Abraha: The Transformative Personality in Ethiopian Politics (By Bereket Kiros
Jan. 24 2008)
No political journey is easy; Seeye's journey is no exception either. He is giving us alternative views and approaches: a challenge to opposition parties and the EPRDF on how to achieve a democratic Ethiopia through peaceful political processes.

Congratulation Tegadelai Siye Abraha!
It must be a great joy for your family, your friends, your supporter and all the people who disapproved of your unjust arrest. This is indeed great news for all Ethiopians. At the end of the tunnel justice has prevailed. This is a celebration for all Ethiopians who asked hard for your immediate release.

Siye, The Healer
I heard Siye Abraha's passionate defense of the importance and value of the rule of law in Ethiopia. That says a lot about where the man stands. But more importantly, his articulation that he now understands the fears, aspirations and hopes of both the pro-democracy group and EPRDF supporters is remarkable. One of the contributors to this blog once wrote that we had to take Siye seriously. I say as a person who has experienced the injustice millions of Ethiopians go through everyday, but at the same time as a person who has large following in the EPRDF, Siye can act as a healer of the national wound. Freedom of Conscience
In a lawful society no one is above the law. However, Prime Minister has been above the law. He can arrest and throw people into prison but he himself out of bounds. How can justice, freedom, equity, transparency, all fairness, civility can be realized in this way.
Mockery of Justice and the Case of Siye
Siye case becomes a symbol of resistance and embracement to the Ethiopian court system. Faulty eyewitness identification, police and prosecutor misconduct, and systemic flaws could not able to produce significant facts to convict him.
Siye Abraha’s case adjourned again and again (eleven
times) for the same reason – “The judges were missing”.
This shows us that The Ethiopian Supreme Court proven it self it is
indeed a Kangaroo court.
A Miscarriage of Justice For how long we just keep quiet when there is gross misrepresentation and miscarriage of justice smacking our face? Don't you think it is time to speak up?
Siye Abrha's trial adjourned....again!
The Federal Supreme Court failed to give the final verdict in trial of the former Defense Minister Siye Abrha and his brother Assefa Abreha today as a judge was missing for the tenth
time in trial. The court said it couldn't deliver the verdict as all judges weren't present.
In the trial which is deep in its fifth year, the brothers are accused of corruption. Many suspect, however, that it
is a political trial. Siye Abrha opposed Prime Minister Meles's leniency towards Eritrea when the two countries waged a bloody border war. Although the war ended with Ethiopia winning it, Meles signed the Algiers agreement which didn't reflect the reality on the ground. Ethiopians across different political spectra opposed the agreement. Siye led the opposition within TPLF.
The court postponed the verdict date to April 4.
