One cannot serve two Gods at a Time

Sibihat Nega

In the bible, there is a verse which says one cannot serve two Gods at the same time. If one loves money, he cannot love God; if one loves power, one cannot love God. If one serves God first, the rest will be taken care of by God himself. However, it is impossible to love God and power or money at the same time. Even literally, one person cannot be two persons at the same time.

Up to this days, I was in the darkness. I never knew the ins and out of TPLF. I listened with deep interest the audio clip of Ato Sebhat Nega, the member of the TPLF central committee at my favorite website Aiga.

Although I have no problem with the people of Abraha Deboch and Moges Asgedom, I have a problem with the TPLF's double stand. Ato Sebhat Nega has put it clearly that TPLF has fought more than EPLF for Eritrean Independence. However, Eritreans calls this a mockery. Ato Sebhat Nega stated that Essayas Afeworki was about to make a big deal with Mengistu to share power. He says TPLF refused to cooperate. He also capitalized that no government in the world supported the Eritrean Independence except TPLF and the Arab League. We know why the Arab league supports the Eritrean Independence, it is not because they are sympathetic to Abraha-Mogesian, but it is their inherent animosity with Ethiopia. How can then TPLF talk about Ethiopia if it allies with Ethiopian enemies? If TPLF's primary Goal is to liberate Eritrea, why then Sebhat Nega and his cohorts do not call themselves EPLF_1 or EPLF_2 than calling themselves, TPLF, EPRDF, TPLF-EPLF? As I have aforementioned, one cannot have two contradictory political philosophies at the same time.

Furthermore, if Sebhat Nega and his Cohorts ardently pledge even now that they will pay all the prices to maintain Eritrean Independence. I can hardly understand what type of mess philosophy they are pursuing. These mess philosophy is costing a lot for Ethiopian and Abraha-Mogesian people. It is this mess philosophy which caused the blood-shed from 1998 to 2000 between these the same people. I cannot imagine, if Ato Sebhat Nega and his cohorts have any respect for life than for their mess philosophy. How many people perished in the war because of these mess philosophy? The rough estimate was 70,000, but more than that lives have perished. Because of these mess philosophy how many Ethiopians has lost property, and lives all over the country by arbitrary bomb blasts up to now?

Because of this mess philosophy how many Ethiopians soldiers have died in Somalia yet? And still dying because no one is telling us about it?

If TPLF's primary objectives are to dismember Ethiopia and its people in the name of democracy, why then they do not allow ONLF, OLF? Ato Sebhat Nega is directly telling us he supports the cause of ONLF, OLF, I can probably see now why TPLF is at Odds with Kinjit? I want to say to Ato Sebhat, what type of democracy is this? In democratic countries, all decisions are made by the people. The people are direct participatory in all political processes. The democratic leaders then ratify the decision of the people. Here you have come with a messy philosophy and you are imposing these mess of philosophies on our people. Why must our people keep on dying for your messy Philosophy? You said you will fight for Eritrean Independence even now, but the truth is that you will not fight but you will make people fight and you will still live to enjoy life while others perish for your messy philosophy.

I have a great reverence for you as a person; but I am very disappointed when you talk about democracy. There is no any substance of democracy according to my understanding of the genesis you have narrated. I once listened when Ato Aregawi Berhe was being interviewed, he stated that in Ethiopia there is no law. Ethiopia is being led by TPLF's programmes. This is exactly what you have made clear to us in your audio clip interview. I hope you understand that this has nothing to do with democracy. You have come with your own map and blue print and your are following strictly that map. There is no any input from any Ethiopian.

There is no any difference between Issayas and you, except that Issayas has a different map and blue print. Actually, it seems Issayas believes in the Unity of Ethiopia than you do. I hardly understand why you guys are interested in dividing people? What do you get by dividing people like this? This is why I say to people that they must liberate themselves before calling themselves liberators because they make others suffer for their philosophy.

Some more worthwhile mentioning, why is your interview only available for Tigrignea speakers? Why is not your interview not accessible to all Ethiopian?

We cannot afford to have a Tigrignea apartheid in Ethiopia. I request kindly Aiga website and any party concerned to make this interview accessible to all Ethiopians in their respective languages. It is not good to lead a country by hide and seek like this. This information must be accessible to all Ethiopian.
