SUBJECT:
Vehement OBJECTION to the
FRAUDULENT and CRIMINAL USE,
MISUSE, and ABUSE of SOMEONE’S
personal NAME and IDENTITY for
the Purpose of MALICIOUS
Political MIS-REPRESENTATION
of VIEWS.
This
OPEN LETTER is an accompaniment to
an E-MAIL of the same date addressed to You on the subject matter indicated
above. For the Benefit of the innocent and unsuspecting READERS of
the so-called “Addis Tribune” Magazine
we have seen fit to REPRODUCE , verbatim, the CONTENT of the our E-MAIL
of the 28th of April
2002 addressed
PERSONALLY to you, the Editor-in-Chief.
The following is, word for word, our E-MAIL message:
“We understand that YOU are the
EDITOR-in-CHIEF of the so-called ‘Addis Tribune’. This short
message will NOT be the appropriate AVENUE for
Discussing WHO exactly
“Addis Tribune” has been SERVING ever since the
beginning of its PUBLICATION
and CIRCULATION. That will be made (let us
assure YOU) on ANOTHER
occasion and through a different OUTLET. Nor do we wish to “participate” (on pages of
your Journal) in the KIND of “debate”
your “Tribune” has been and is
PEDDLING on a number of vital
NATIONAL issues. To do so would be, on our part, to DIGNIFY the concerted
“effort” of
MERCENARIES,
COMPRADOR mouthpieces, and NATIONAL TRAITORS.
As
if it is not BAD enough already
that your ‘Tribune’ is SERVING as an AUXILLARY propaganda ARM and OUTLET for
the U.S. Embassy in Addis
Abeba and the political
INTEREST of the latter’s Washington PATRONS
(on, among others, the uncritical PROMOTION
of the so-called BUSH DOCTRINE
on ‘Terrorism’
as ‘applied’ in the HORN of AFRICA in general and inside
ETHIOPIA in particular); as if it is not SHAMELESS enough already that
your ANTI-ETHIOPIAN ‘Tribune’
is providing a FORUM for
SPREADING
treasonable PROPAGANDA by
national TRAITORS, you the EDITOR-in-CHIEF and your cohorts at
‘Addis Tribune’ have gone the
FURTHER step of ALLOWING (in the latest
issue of your ‘Tribune’) the
FRAUDULENT and
CRIMINAL use, misuse, and abuse of SOMEONE’s
personal NAME for signing an ARTICLE (entitled: ‘Assab
is Always a Threat to Ethiopia’s Sovereignty’ and
submitted in the 26-04-2002 issue of ‘Addis Tribune’ as a REJOINER
to an earlier DISGRACEFUL
piece by a certain METEKU ASSEFA) that
PROMOTES a Treasonable VIEWPOINT
which is DIAMETRICALLY opposed to the one held by the GENUINE bearer
of the NAME. To willfully MIS-REPRESENT
Someone’s NAME as well as
VIEWPOINT is a doubly FRAUDULENT and
CRIMINAL act. It is the LOWEST of the LOW in political JOURNALISM. It is
a DISGUSTING
and dirty PRACTICE of CHEATING the innocent and un-suspecting
READER of ‘Addis
Tribune’. It is above all, a DIRTY exercise
befitting
only to mercenary AGENT
PROVOCATEURS. Unless YOU and your
COHORTS publish FORTHWITH an
explicit DISCLAIMER and an un-equivocal
APOLOGY regarding this matter, you the EDITOR-in-CHIEF will
be
HELD personally RESPONSIBLE for PARTICIPATING
in this
FRAUDULENT,
MALICIOUS, and CRIMINAL act. Be advised, therefore, that
you,
the EDITOR-in-CHIEF, will bear all
the CONSEQUENCES of FAILURE to
RECTIFY
a dirty PRACTICE which your ‘Tribune’ has willfully INITIATED.
He who SOWS the WIND will bring on himself the wrath of the WHIRLWIND.”
