Dear people, you have lost many of your loved once for the sake of freedom and justice for your PEOPLE. NOW LETS EXAMINE THE RECENT ACTION THAT OUR LEADERS TOOK, AND SEE IF THEY ARE MEANT TO SERVE US JUSTICE AND FREEDOM.
First of all I would like to say that, I am fully aware about the great role that these 12 leaders played in defeating the Derg and the shabia agressors. For these reasons the 12 leaders that walked out, or expelled from their roles, are greatly respected by their comrades in all over Ethiopia. I myself used to be one of those people who admired those 12 leaders until few days ago. But now my view of them has changed radically.
For one thing, if these 12 people claim that they helped in the construction of a constitution, they should have gotten Meles, through that process. 2. According to the information we are getting more of the top leadership supported him, so even if it is one, it does not matter, they have too accept it. If we remember, Bush won the election, slightly. Now, by writting letters, to the people of Tigray, what are they asking them to do, to divide each other between Meles and the 12 camp, and start shooting each other? Is that what they are asking them?
In my opinion the 12 people are not God, they have not accomplished anything by themselves, they did it with the support of the people.
Therefore, Dear Tigray people, you are not a game card that could be played around in any table, or any corner. Yes Meles, have made many mistakes in the past and may people know that, it is not even a secret to many of us, however, if we trusted him for 26 years, he must be a genuine leader that has the concern of the people at heart. However, Meles is not the revolution, the revolution lies in the heart of the Tigray people.
What is the revolution? Does the revolution depend on the 12 leaders? Does the revolution depend on Meles? Does the revolution, depend on few individuals no? The answer is no. The revolution depend on the people of Tigray, for they are the once that paid terrible, consequence in order to bring peace and justice for the people. The people of Tigray in particular and the people of Ethiopia in general, had to endure horrible humiliation. While we were fighting for justice our mothers and sisters were raped, killed, while crossing to the sudan.
Some of our sisters and brothers, were lost in the bushes of Sudan, some of them did not even get the proper burial. Yes, and some of our sisters, sold their dignity and became prostitutes in foreign land, to support their mothers and fathers. And who will forget the famine of 1984 where hundreds of thousand of our people died. To many of us, all these horrible things that happened to Tigray during the revolution are fresh in our mind. These are only few of the price that we had to pay for the revolution?
Therefore, dear people of Tigray, should not the revolution be high jacked, by our leaders? Are our leaders telling us to go all over the pain that we went through once again? And if we do how do we know this new revolution will be a good one?
I say to you to the people of Tigray, the revolution means the 120,000 young men and woman who paid their lives, to restore an Ethiopia, where peace could prevail. This 120000, men and woman that died at a thunder age probably had many difference among each other, but one thing united them, and that was THE LOVE FOR THEIR PEOPLE. However, it seems that our leaders could not even unit for the sake of the people. For that they have lost my respect, and you my Dear people, do not be a victim to their emotions. Weather, it be meles and his camp, or THE 12, let them write millions of booklets, do not pay attention to it, until they come to their sense.
When the time comes to election, maybe then we could flex our muscle, but at this point, continue with your program of restoring order to your region and your country. That is your responsibility. Dear people no leader needs to tell you the responsibility of building your home. The building and reconstructing of your house is your responsibility, and your region, and your country is your house.
Dear people of Tigray, never listen to people who emotionally invoke the word Tigray, listen to people who invoke the word in wisdom. Wisdom dictates that at this time, our people need unity. They need it now more than ever before, and wise leaders would refrain themselves from dividing people at this time.
My people I am not worried though, for we are LEBEBAMAT, we know what is harmful to us, and what is not. As I said my people, just like 12000 thousands and other heroic Ethiopians that scarified their lives, and put their difference aside FOR THE LOVE OF THE NATION, WE TOO SHOULD PUT OUR DIFFERENCE FOR THE LOVE OF THE NATION. I PERSONALLY, WILL NOT ALLOW ANY PROPAGANDA TO TAKE AWAY THE DEEP LOVE AND RESPECT I HAVE FOR MY PEOPLE. NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE LEADERS ACCOMPLISHED, IT NEVER MEANS THEY ARE GOD. AND BECAUSE THEY ARE RESPECTED, IT DOES NOT MEAN THEY EXPECT US TO BE THEIR TALE ANYTIME THEY WANT US TO.
