I spent almost 2 months in and around Mekelle in the fall of 2002. It is a
beautiful place, the people are wonderful and the culture and history are
inspiring.

I suppose there is room for imorovement but

I was just wondering if this kind of wording is in the interest of your
readers.If trashing Meles Zenawi is going to make me feel good about what\'s
happening in my beloved country I will be fooling myself.

this: since every body seems to know all the problems in our country

should start working on the
solutions I think 12 years is too long for trash talk (no offence).

and raised in
Mekelle,Tigray but lived in the USA longer than I lived in my beautiful country
dedicated to the princeples of the Pan Africanism where the belittling of your
race should not be used as a pretext to express your displeasure,should also
provide a balanced information which will bring the people together not tear
them apart.I urge you to work hard to heal the wounds of our people and make
every possible effort to bring comfort to the one\'s that need it most the
Ethiopian people especially the Tigrians whom my heart bleads and pray for their
plight.

If you could include statistical information on Ethiopia- population,
employment, economy, religion, ethnic, etc. we will be very happy. The
statistical information on the country is very poor. Even the ones you see at
different sites are very different from each other. If you can summarize what
everybody says and put it according to different people\'s claims, that helps.
There are many people who ask me for statistical information to do research but
there is no reliable or summarized one. Could you work on things like these?

The one thing I really hate is the fact that on the top left corner of your
site, you have a changing flag of Ethiopia and Tigrai State. As a Tigrean and a
proud Ethiopian, I am offended of the forced flag that Meles (Eritrean Agent#1)
wants us to use regardless of our thoughts. Please, it ought to be one flag and
one flag only!!! If Tigrai is truly Ethiopian which is true, why do you
have a separate flag for Tigrai and one for Ethiopia??!??! Please, take
off this symbol of apartheid that only is use to the Eritrean Agents such as
Woyane who have no idea of the true and long history of Ethiopia\'s star
Tigray.

Great job, keep it up. At the risk of sounding hypocritical, in that my
involvement in productive activities such as yours is minimal at best, I do wish
that you concentrate more on informing about events in Tigray. There is an
abundance of websites that concentrate on issues of national concern but very
few on a regional basis. Again, I don\'t know the difficulty of getting the
information and the time commitment, and I stree that I am not being
judgmental, but, I do wish that you are able to play a more active role in
conveying issues of interest relating to Tigray to the general public. Of
course, while still addressing national issues. Maybe ways of linking
institutions, MIT stuff is excellent but also at the local level, or should I
say at the Aweraja level or even events at places like MIT or other
institutions. Keep up the good job. Proud to see Ethiopians actively engaged in
productive role. Just for the record, this is not an attempt to promote an
\"only Tigrayan\" agenda or some manifestation of Tigrayan nationalism. I just
think you serve Ethiopia and Tigray better by concentrating more on Tigray. P.S.
I am not of Tigrayan descent. Just a humble observer. Keep it up .
